‘American Reunion’ Confirms Chris Klein

Another original ‘American Pie’ cast member joins Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Eugene Levy and Alyson Hannigan in this upcoming comedy sequel.

Actor Chris Klein is the latest original American Pie cast member to reprise his role for American Reunion. The actor who played Chris "Oz" Ostreicher in American Pie and American Pie 2, recently finalized his deal to return for the fourth theatrical installment. Chris Klein's representative confirmed the news, revealing the actor is, "very excited to reunite with the original cast."

Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Eugene Levy, and Alyson Hannigan have also officially signed on. Last month we reported that original cast members Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Thomas Ian Nicholas, and Jennifer Coolidge are also in talks to return for American Reunion, which revolves around the original characters returning to Great Falls for their high school reunion.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg will write and direct American Reunion, although it isn't known when production will start yet.

American Reunion was released April 6th, 2012 and stars Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Eddie Kaye Thomas. The film is directed by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg.

    @ejk1 Yeah. The last film I actually saw with him in it was Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li and he sucked though I blame all crappy performances in that movie due the the incredibly bad dialogue they had to work with. Most of the actors in the film are normally fantastic in certain roles.

    Considering Klein hasn't done much since Katie Holmes left him for Tom Cruise, so a return to his most notable role may get him back on the Hollywood radar.

    @skywise Yeah. He was bland but mainly because his whole arc was typical for late 90s/early 00s teen films: Guy lies to girl/truth comes out and girl hates him/they reconcile in the end. Some other examples of this is 10 Things I Hate About You (which I really like) and She's All That (Based on The Taming of the Shrew and Pygmalion respectively. WOW right?).

    Klein was one of the most bland characters in the series but its nice to know he is coming back. He has potential..just watch We Were Soldiers. Somehow tho his Oz character just came across as boooring.
