Whether you love FX's American Horror Story or hate it, you have to admit they come up with innovative opening credits each season. FX has unveiled the title sequence for American Horror Story: Freak Show, which debuts one week from today on Wednesday, October 8 at 10 PM ET with "Monsters Among Us".

If that wasn't enough, the network has also released a 60-second trailer that offers new footage, teasing how some of the "freaks" such as the Siamese twins Bette and Dot (Sarah Paulson) became a part of this traveling carnival. We also see that Evan Peters' Jimmy Darling isn't too fond of being called a freak, along with our first look at this season's villain, Twisty the Clown, played by John Carroll Lynch and other characters such as the Bearded Lady Effil Darling (Kathy Bates), strongman Wendell Del Toredo (Michael Chiklis) and, of course the freak show ringleader Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange).

Check out the latest footage before this freak show from series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk hits the airwaves.
