‘Alex Cross’ Sequel ‘Double Cross’ in Development

Rob Cohen’s action film is based on a book series by James Patterson and centers on a homicide detective that is pursuing a serial killer.

QED International is in final negotiations with Tyler Perry and James Patterson to develop a sequel to Rob Cohen's action film Alex Cross titled Double Cross.

Alex Cross stars Tyler Perry, Matthew Fox and Rachel Nichols. The story centers on a homicide detetive that is pulled into a world of torture and pain by a serial killer.

Double Cross will be based on James Patterson's 13th book, which was published in 2008. The sequel will have the detective facing another serial killer that has the whole city on edge as he taunts officers with a live feed of his madness.

Alex Cross was released October 19th, 2012 and stars Rachel Nichols, Tyler Perry, Giancarlo Esposito, Matthew Fox, Jean Reno, Edward Burns, John C. McGinley, Carmen Ejogo. The film is directed by Rob Cohen.

    Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls were solid and I think that is mostly because Morgan Freeman is such an anchor in any movie. Tyler Perry is no Freeman.
