A Columbia Pictures comedy centering on a father who moves in and feuds with his son’s bride-to-be on the eve of their wedding.

Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg are in negotiations with Columbia Pictures to star in the comedy I Hate You Dad, for Happy Madison, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The story centers on a father who moves in on the eve of his son's wedding and promptly begins feuding with the bride-to-be. Adam Sandler would play the dad, with Andy Samberg as the son, even though less than 12 years separate the two in real life.

I Hate You Dad is still in the development stages, and no director is on board, but the two actors are attached. The script was written by David Caspe with a rewrite by David Wain and Ken Marino.

No production date has been set.

That's My Boy was released June 15th, 2012 and stars Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, Vanilla Ice, James Caan, Milo Ventimiglia, Blake Clark, Meagen Fay. The film is directed by Sean Anders.

    I always mentioned how Samberg was the new Sandler. This is no pass for me. I love Sandler, Samberg is alright so I expect this to be funny. Sandler playing a dad role of a twenties actor? Damn, he's getting to that age.
