'A Single Shot' Trailer Starring Sam Rockwell

A hunter's worst nightmare comes to life when a woman is killed by a stray bullet in director David M. Rosenthal's thriller.

All it takes is one misplaced shot for a hunter's entire life to be turned upside down, as shown in the first trailer for A Single Shot. Sam Rockwell stars as John Moon, who accidentally kills a young woman who has a box full of money beside her. When he takes the cash to try and make things right with his ex-wife (Kelly Reilly), he learns that the money belongs to a group of hardened criminals who will do anything to get it back. Directed by David M. Rosenthal (Janie Jones), A Single Shot debuts on VOD formats August 20 before arriving in theaters on September 20.

David M. Rosenthal's backwoods thriller starts with a bang: a single shot, aimed at a lone deer, that hits and kills a young woman. The hunter, John Moon (Sam Rockwell, Seven Psychopaths), watches her die before discovering a box of money near her body. In a desperate panic, he takes the cash - hiring a low-rent lawyer (William H. Macy, Fargo) to fight his wife's (Kelly Reilly, Flight) divorce suit - and attempts to cover up the killing. But when he discovers that the money belonged to a group of hardened criminals, the hunter becomes the hunted in this tense cat-and-mouse struggle in the backwoods of West Virginia.

A Single Shot was released September 20th, 2013 and stars Sam Rockwell, William H. Macy, Ted Levine, Kelly Reilly, Jason Isaacs, Joe Anderson, Jeffrey Wright, Ophelia Lovibond. The film is directed by David M. Rosenthal.
