20th Century Fox has pushed back the release of 27 Dresses from January 11th to the 18th.

The romantic comedy starring Katherine Heigl (Knocked Up) will now be in direct competition with J.J. Abrams' monster flick Cloverfield and Overture Films' Mad Money.

The studio did not give a reason for the week shift, and the female-oriented film may face some competition with Mad Money which is also geared for the female audience, starring Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes. The comedy crime caper is about three ordinary women who form an unlikely friendship and decide to rob one of the most secure banks in the world!

All three films should get an extra box office boost from the 3-day Martin Luther King holiday weekend.
