Sony Pictures is taking advantage of Jurassic Park IV being pushed out of its summer 2014 release date, by moving 21 Jump Street 2 back one week to June 13, 2014.

The comedy sequel is currently all by itself in the June 13, 2014 slot, leaving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the only movie scheduled for release on June 6, 2014.

This news comes just two weeks after Sony issued their initial June 6, 2014 release date for 21 Jump Street 2. The project does not have a director on board at this time, but Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are coming back as Schmidt and Jenko, with Dave Franco slated to return as high school villain Eric Molson.

Other notable titles being released next June are DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon 2 (June 20, 2014), Sony's Think Like a Man 2 (June 20, 2014), and Paramount's Transformers 4 (June 27, 2014).

22 Jump Street was released June 13th, 2014 and stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Peter Stormare, Wyatt Russell, Amber Stevens, Jillian Bell, Ice Cube, The Lucas Brothers. The film is directed by Phil Lord, Chris Miller.

21 Jump St was a great movie w/a hillarious comedic performance from Tatum. I thought everyone involved did a good job. They hinted at a sequel at the end neways so I guess I saw this coming. I say bring it on!

@corey With a budget of 12 million dollars, and earning nearly 100 million worldwide, it was a well enough profit to guarantee a sequel I guess.
