OMG- everyday I read news like this and it pisses me off. Seriously- a sequel to TRON? Is this really something fans have been demanding? Hollywood is officially out of new ideas.

Liking Harry Potter has nothing to do with me liking Twilight. They are completely different genres and stories. That's like saying I can't like hot dogs because I like hamburgers. I'm intelligent enough to be interested in and enjoy two different genres of stories. I have lots of friends that have read the book and were severely disappointed in this adaptation saying that it was mis-cast, slow, disjointed, and lacked any energy that the book contained.
It would have been more interesting for the love story to between Bella & Edward to develop simultaneously as the hunt for Bella by James. That would have at least kept the pacing and the stakes high. I rode the train home with 5 girls that were self proclaimed fans of the book and they too felt that it was a lack-luster and disappointing adaptation. Now that character development is out of the way, hopefully the book 2 film adaptation will be more exciting. |

I was incredibly bored by this film. Seeing the character of Edward look like a deer caught in headlights for an hour and a half is not entertaining. NOTHING HAPPENS!

Saw a screening of this last week and it's an amazing piece of film. Expect lots of Oscar nods headed it's way including screenplay, actor, supporting and possibly director and picture.
I only wish this film had come out before the election; it could have made a big impact. Penn is amazing and the supporting cast, especially Brolin, are excellent. Go see this film! |
