AVP:R made a horrible mess of what could have been an über-cool series of films. Now it's almost impossible to take it seriously, after the sequel's "how sick can we make it" approach that would have Ridley Scott, if he were dead, turning in his grave.

How about losing the pointless human hammerjaw/cannon fodder and developing the characters of the TITULAR CREATURES? Just an idea....!

ERRR didn't they tie this up (very well) in 'Sien Und Ziet' and 'Closure' in season 7? There's GOT to be more to this than Samantha, that story arc dragged on way too long for my taste. Hope this scene is a red herring, I really do...
