I think originally the twist was that Sam had become a vampire. Also, alan Frogg (Jamison Newlander) is killed by a vamp, but we never see it because it got cut out.
The new movie is only ninety three minutes long. Alot of the story got cut because of having to edit around Cory Haim.
I have a feeling Sam is the master vampire. I wish we had seen that as part of the twist.
This was not bad though, not bad at all.
I will still love the original, but I'm adding this one to my Vamp library.

I loved the original Lost Boys, and had no expectations for the sequel. I was pleasantly surprised. I hope there is a third film so that Haim and Feldman can have an on screen therapy session while through the their characters, Sam and Edgar kicking the sh** out of eachother. I am sad that Jamison's character, Alan was cut out of the film. Did anyone notice the reference one of the vamps made to Edgar? "Chris isn't here, but your brother is"!
