I remember reading once that Frank Darabont had wrote a screenplay based on the Frankenstein tale that had Guillermo del Toro saying he'd kill to direct it. So there's two names. Personally, let Darabont. Big fan of his, so that may just be some biased preferring him.

What about Glenn Shadix? Kenenth Mars? So many passed last year, it was unbelievable that the Academy would skip over so many. I always hate the In memorium segment because I end up getting pissed despite remembering those I'd forgotten had passed in the past year. Don't forget the Roy Scheider snub, too.
