With Bekmambetov directing, I wonder if Lincoln will drop the f-bomb.
In that case, this is probably just an early stage of his transformation.
From the facial features standpoint, I think they are going for more of a "what would a cross between a human and a lizard look like" feel, which probably means no snout.

I see on several sites that Proyas other project, a film adaptation of John Milton's Paradise Lost, just got scrapped recently for "an out of control" budget.

Proyas is getting about as bad as Aronofsky in not seeing projects through to the end.
McAdams has her work cut out for her trying to carry the ever wooden Channing Tatum.

That's what politics does to you.

From the trailers, it looks like Tatum will have a reduced role, but I highly doubt they killed off such a major player as Duke. My guess is that he is captured.
I don't know much about the director, but so far he seems to be heading in the right direction. His best move so far was not recasting that no talent hack Marlon Wayans.

Can they not make a spidey movie without having him running around with his freaking mask off?
I'm not sure they could do a spider-man cameo even if they wanted to because Spiderman is a Sony property.
I always liked the Judge Dredd comics, but I just don't think he has enough public appeal for any movie based on him to be anything other than a guaranteed bomb no matter how good they make it, especially with moviegoers today being so fickal and hesitant to support films with no major star power.
I love how celebrities moan and groan about capitalism but have absolutely no problem exploiting it for their own financial benefit. Try going to a socialist country and asking for that kind of jack. It's not going to happen.

I'm sorry but nobody deserves 15 million for acting. We have teachers who actually contribute to society making less than 40 grand a year.
So basically they bowed to Norris, a current infomercial star, who wasn't even in the first one. That's smart.

Sly,
Forgive me for not buying the "Jean-Claude van Damm turning in an inspired performance" remark. I've seen too many Van Damm movies to believe that. I'm going to have to see it to believe it.

It keeps sounding like this project is one film. I can't even concieve how that's possible with the book being nearly 900 pages in length. The miniseries in the early '90's was 6 hours and it had significant amounts of abridgement.
I went to see Contraband with serious reservations about money being flushed, but I actually had a really good time. It was a decent movie.

I actually caught Downton Abbey on PBS last night, and I would describe it as a breakthrough in the fight against insomnia.

If it was possible to pull it off, I've always wanted to do an experiment where essentially we make a movie that Woody Allen directs and writes, but we keep it secret and release the film with an unknown director and writer's name attached. I bet it wouldn't get a passing glance by Oscar or Golden Globe. Not saying that Woody isn't good, but some of his latest work hasn't been award worthy.

Wes Anderson is so strange.
One thing I could not stand about the first films (it gets worse with each film) was the incessant need for Raimi to shoot Maguire with the suit and no mask. I'm hoping this picture doesn't suggest that Marc Webb is going to do the same thing.
To date, Dragon has made 62 million domestically and 12 million internationally, but so far it's only been released in 5 or 6 countries.
