Follow leetlefeesh's link everyone.
in the actual picture on the Concept Art website (i.e. the image without the stupid Movieweb banner) it says "X03" in the corner of the image. If you look at other images from the same artist it would seem that that is the year it was created/designed. Now unless those crazy kids at Bad Robot are REALLY mental and been doing this ARG/promotional story since 2003, then its pretty much safe to say that this is not the monster. Also, after all this mega secretive marketing campaign, dooes anyone think that they would just put a design of the monster on a website for everyone to see so close to the actual release?

um, the hype is being fuelled by people like us though, so we only have ourselves to blame. the guy who made the above videos is one of us inquisitive fans too...right?

I'm all for people wanting to know about the film (especially as its so secretive) but if that is the end of the film and they have revealed it that sucks as we don't even know what its called yet!

LOL at below comment - have you checked out the new videos on You Tube (and the news page with them on here)? With regards to the last two with Rob and girl in an archway; where is the camcorder guy? maybe the entire movie is not filmed using hand held cameras after all???

I doubt that that site is official as all it has is a You Tube link and then some bible quotes - all this religious involvement only came about because of Ethan Haas being incorrectly linked with Cloverfield/1-18-08. Its a monster movie, not an end of the world movie.

a few of them are definately people from the trailer - rob, the girl who mentions Japan and then the girl who, when you hear the roar for the last time, looks toward the skies and then the statue's head flies towards them. I think they are legit, but I don't really see the point in having myspaces when the events of the film are in the future. I mean how interesting can it be to hear about they're hipster lives before the events of film?

exactly! get rid of this crap, it gives a misleading representation of what Cloverfield/1-18-08 is going to be.
If I was Paramount I would so be suing the people behind Ethan Haas right now, they must have got a hell of a lot more people interested in they're crummy ARG by latching onto the buzz for this film.

I guess tomorrow we will find out if the Ethan Haas stuff is unrelated for sure. I think it was just a coincidence and the people who made Ethan Haas aren't exactly going to complain if they can jump on the publicity that this film has created. I just don't get why JJ would say it was fake just to throw us off - it doesn't make sense.

isn't the street named Cloverfield (Avenue?) that the Bad Robot studios is located on? I think thats where the name comes from...?
