Amongst seeing a flurry of bad movies I watched Hard Candy. An interesting movie about a 14 year old girl that invites herself to a supposed pedophile's house and drugs him. The man wakes up tied to a chair and the girl announces her plan to castrate him.
The film's high point is the performance of Ellen Page, who I think will grow into one of Hollywood's top actresses. |

Kurosawa is my favorite filmmaker behind Stanley Kubrick. His filmography is nothing short of amazing with almost every entry being good at the very least. Some favorites of mine:
