still blah to me... some good scenes, and more glimpse into the film but for me still not feeling it.
i am beginning to think i liked batman and robins promotional marketing more than i like dark knight rises... all we are missing is some bat nipples and a cameo credit from alicia silverstone so far on these posters.
just remember guys... this only means she will run it, not have the rights to the star wars galaxy, so i am sure we still cant count on an original trilogy release on blu ray and a knights of the old republic tv show. but congrats to KK and truly is a great honor for her.
@shuabert no kidding? wow, would seem to me that they should just sell through the ones on the shelves. the figures and packaging looked a lot more impressive than the last film as well... yes, total waste.
@shuabert BINGO... and what prize do we have for him johnny?! Good call Bro...
@RupertMurdochsFather i am going to have to disagree. yes the GI joe 2 trailer was good, but i am almost afraid that they have put in all the good parts in the trailer like they did for the first film. at least with spidey, with every trailer comes new scenes that make it even more exciting and fresh.
i just wonder how much they are going to lose on marketing on this. Today i saw the action figures for the film at a store... made me laugh a bit out loud.
if they are doing mandarin... i really hope they will be influenced off of what favreau said awhile back about the rings being a type of technology... after avengers which i loved, i just want them to get back to a realistic approach with IM3 leave all the space fantasy sci fi stuff to the avengers films.

@messenger amen brother... Black is not only a great screenwriter (lethal weapon, long kiss goodnight, the last boy scout, and no i didnt have to wikipedia shane black to find out what hes screenwritten) but also has proven to be a good director (if you have not seen kiss, kiss, bang, bang... stop reading and go rent... NOW!) I have faith in shane black... and hell, i was a little dissapointed in the trailer when stark flew into the stark expo in IM2... having no clue, it looked a bit cheesy, but when the film came out... there was a point to it, and served a purpose. I think messenger is right... and how many of you are now looking forward to the amazing spider man... after dissing on it for a year or so prior to the trailer, based on photos alone? thunk so.

man, they will parody anything and everything...lol. I will say though... the catwoman costume looks ten times better than nolans, must have gotten a good budget on this one, actually looks like a high budget fan film.
lame.... all of them.

@messenger ditto... i am feelin ya on that one as well. i havent been that excited since the beginning really... the casting (hathaway), the trailers, the story thus far, the "flying batmobile car plane thingy".
@corey unfortunately i have to agree... many of the people that i know that are looking forward to it is only due to its related ties to alien. I think it will have modest numbers. it should do well especially with word of mouth, but hoping it does better than what it will do in the end.

YES!!! HAPPY IS BACK... and I could not be happier! pun intended
@SherlockHolmes2009 i agree and good points made. conroy IS the definitive... hell i was happy to hear him the batman arkham games, but you are right... even today BTAS is hailed as one of the greatest cartoon productions... partly because of great voice actors such as conroy, hamill, moll, perlman, sorkin among many others. If keaton redefined batman on screen (not that there was much to compare him to), then conroy definately redefined him in animation. So I do give him a lot of my respect, as i give keaton a lot of respect... neither one had much to expand from before they came along and their interpretations were both well done.
This i agree is ridiculous, outrageous and i am as pissed as anyone else, i was hoping for a great redemption of sorts after the first film... however...

Paramount is not entirely stupid... whether we like 3d or not (we can all thank james cameron for bringing it back... not with titanic, but with avatar) the thing is... more and more films are getting the 3d conversion. and on top of that... 81 comments so far... how many of you have noticed that action films that have gotten the 3d conversions are getting less and less 2d showings? soon 3d will be the only way to view... my point it is money in the pockets of the execs. i refuse to see 3d... i had no choice to see avengers in 3d for the first showing and honestly did not like it until i saw it in 2d the second time. 3d is hype but it also makes more money, plain and simple. however this is a weird move, thinking of all the marketing that has been put into this film... now the posters will have to be changed, trailers, even the action figures are out to a movie that wont be out for a year... maybe paramount is not so bright after all.

@superman81 honestly i dont believe they will kill him off. unless nolan wants to solidify that his films will end and wb will not continue without him. i think it will come full circle though. i think he loses it all, like in the first film... in this prisoned, like in the first film, only to come back into action to realize how important his symbol is for the city. I still feel the themes of TDKR is important though... bruce not wanting to do this forever... to find someone to take up the mantel. whether that is catwoman... or someone else, i dont know. If they kill him... it will be for a meaning, something that has transpired since the first film... to see bruce with a gun in BB... to sacrificing his life for the city of gotham... themes nolan might go towards... i wish i had the answers but of course all this is speculation.
@SherlockHolmes2009 you are right that conroy has found his place but to say he can never be REPLACED is absurd, even . I believe actors and voice actors make the characters iconic by the way they portray them, but (and this argument will be until the end of time) i believe there is an opportunity out there to expand... conroy was a great batman... yes... for the animated series... but that voice should not define every single batman, including a future batman, old batman, alternate reality batman, and yes... even frank millers batman. If they were to go back and do a continuation series of the animated series, same art, but different cast... it would be weird... hell i remember when they replaced venkman in the real ghost busters... i was 12 and i could tell his voice changed. I was even one of the very few that felt tobey maguire was peter parker and could not be replaced... at least not 10 years after the first film but i have warmed up to garfield's performance and look for the new film. voice actors are distinguished... i will say that, but i say give other voice actors the chance to not replace conroy, but to expand the legend of the dark knight detective.
Nice... i love conroy but am willing to see where peter weller can take the character. They better not screw the pooch on this... I still loved BTAS when they paid homage to DKR. They did a hell of job back then so i am only hoping the best for this. havent been all that happy with the recent batman animated movies lately.
@superman81 forgot about that one actually... and most of the population did as well. last action hero was forgettable. however that was probably more of an apology after the twins scene when arnold sees the rambo III poster grabs his own bicep then shakes his head with a smirk on his face.
