I would be inlcined to agree with comic book guy and jremyd about black, except he has done some not so box office friendly movies also. Like tenacious d and the pick of destiny (a great movie imo). Black is funny, and does a pretty good job picking movies.

OK, i have a few problems with this.. First, the 2003/ version 3 thing doesnt matter, just because it was made in 03 doesnt mean that it couldnt be used in a new movie. But, i dont think that this is the monster. Mainly because it has NO TAIL! there is clearly a tail visible in the trailers for the film, so i DONT care if this design has 3 claws, its what it doesnt have that matters... a TAIL! and why would they release this 10 days before the movie came out? that would be really bad marketing when they were trying to keep it a seceret...

I agree, the film industry is not as original anymore, but that doesnt mean that it is bad to remake movies! Using the technology of today, movies look better. Yes, part of it is them selling out, and of course they are "money hungry greedy *ssholes", thats what hollywood has become, like it or not that is the truth and you just have to accept it. I wish that ppl could keep writing amazing new things, but if they want to just redo an older idea, as long as they do a good job im fine with it.

no, you cant replace Jackman. He may not have been the perfect pick for wolverine, but he has grown into it, and to change him after 3 good movies would be like changeing the actor who plays Captain Jack Sparrow if they made a spin-off on him. Could you imagine no Johnny Depp?!?!
Butler as Sabertooth would be awesome though, i hope he gets it.

Why... lets see... Well we have Peter Berg, one of the best directors of this day and age, and according to him it will be a big project, which means a good cast and great special effects. Now it seems that you are not a fan of remakes, but it also seems like the majority of the population does. Yes, the 1984 film was amazing, but that doesn't mean that a new version wont be as good or better!

Ok, from reading what you have said, I cannot respect your view on movies at all.to say that Pursuit of Happiness is boring is one thing (aparently you don't understand emotionals stories), but to say "Independece Day was sh*t" is rediculous! This is one of the best movies ever! That is not just my opinion either, that is a commonly held view.
But i agree with you on your final point, his film selection leaves something to be desired. That is the abundance of his movies. There is simply not enough of them!
